What the Cornerstone Data Center Development Gives Back to Grayslake

T5, which is bringing the new Cornerstone Data Center Development to life, is committed to investing in Grayslake, paying its fair share, and being a good neighbor, just as they have for the last twenty years across America. The data center will contribute $1,400,000,000 in new revenue for school and Village services over the next two decades.

What our community partners say

Craig B. Johnson, Mayor of Elk Grove Village
“T5 has been a fantastic community partner here in Elk Grove Village. The millions in tax revenue they generate supports our schools, parks, and libraries, and they’ve been great neighbors every step of the way. Communities in Illinois could not ask for a better partner than T5. We’re committed to working with them and continuing to deliver for the village for years to come.”

Data centers are secure facilities that house the computer servers and networking equipment behind much of everyday digital life. When you send an email, stream a movie, use GPS, check your bank account, access medical records, shop online, or use a mobile app, the information powering those services is processed and stored in data centers.

As reliance on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other digital services continues to grow across homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, and other institutions, so does the need for data storage and computing capacity. Data centers provide the physical infrastructure that makes those services possible, allowing the digital tools we rely on every day to operate at the scale and speed we’ve come to expect.
